Why should you pick this book?
The forthcoming story tells us that all lives are interconnected. Nobody should think that they are alone in this world. Even insignificant actions by some one can have a profound reaction on people around him.
It shows that no form of life is meaningless. Every life has a purpose and we should believe it when we are alive and never think that our existence in worthless. The story also teaches the importance of forgiveness. Keeping a grudge against someone or something for the whole life destroys only one person… and that is you yourself.
Moreover, it throws some light on the cycle of life and death. Life might be the beginning but death is never the ending. Death is merely a transition to another form of existence. Eddie gets all these lessons from the people he meets in heaven.
The author gives us an idea about the age old question: What happens after death? Although it is his own interpretation but its worth reading. Overall, its an amazing read!
Quotes:
“All endings are also beginnings. we just don’t know it at that time.”
“There are no random acts.. we are all connected… you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate breeze from the wind.”
“Holding anger is a poison… it eats you from inside. We think that by hating someone we hate them. But hatred is a curved blade. The harm we do to others, we also do to ourselves.”
